Hudson Leogrande went from being a homeless teenager to leading a company projected to hit $1 billion in revenue this year. His path to building the loungewear brand Comfrt began when he was sixteen and living in a friend's studio apartment. While he lacked financial resources, he focused on building his own career and understanding how to manage a business.
Leogrande gained his initial experience in car sales and short-term rental arbitrage in California. He later founded an at-home teeth whitening company, PurelyWhite Deluxe. Although he struggled for years, he eventually turned a profit after an influencer promoted his product on social media. Despite that success, he experienced a sharp decline when the platform changed its algorithm. This forced him to pivot and focus on his next venture.
He launched Comfrt with $50,000 in personal savings. The company produces weighted hoodies and sweatpants intended to provide a sense of security and calm. While the business faced multiple instances of insolvency during its early stages in 2024, Leogrande eventually hired a formal executive team including a COO and a CFO to manage operations. This shift allowed the brand to stabilize.
Today, the company operates with 140 full-time employees and a network of 500 content creators. Beyond his own brand, Leogrande serves on the board of David Beckham’s wellness company, IM8. His career demonstrates the results of persistence and the eventual transition from a solo operator to leading a large-scale organization.
