The City of Rochester is hosting two upcoming community employment fairs under the ROC The Block initiative. These events serve to connect local residents with workforce opportunities in a direct, accessible format.
The first fair takes place on August 19 at the Salvation Army located at 100 West Avenue. A second event is scheduled for September 23 at Parcel 5, located at 285 East Main Street. Both sessions run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
To assist attendees with the application process, the city is providing a mobile workforce unit at each site. This unit is equipped with laptops and WiFi, allowing job seekers to complete applications or update their resumes on the spot.
Interested parties can reach out to the Workforce Development team via email for vendor information or specific questions about the event series. Additional resources and job listings are also available through the official City of Rochester website under the Employee and Workforce Development department section.
