The city of Toledo is now accepting applications for a new youth employment initiative. This program provides twenty young adults with paid work experience, connecting participants with local employers and city departments.
Beyond just a paycheck, the program focuses on long-term professional growth. Participants receive career coaching, workplace training, financial literacy workshops, and life skills sessions. The city also provides transportation assistance and links residents to regional apprenticeship opportunities.
To be eligible for the program, applicants must be Toledo residents between the ages of 16 and 24. They must meet income requirements and demonstrate a commitment to work and professional development. Officials are prioritizing residents from specific neighborhood revitalization areas, including the Junction, Englewood, and Old South End districts.
Space in this initiative is limited to twenty spots. Interested individuals must submit their applications by August 28 at 5 p.m. To apply, visit the city's official application form online.
