Free estate planning clinic aims to help Baton Rouge families prepare for the future
Planning for the future often remains a difficult topic for many households to address. Avoiding these conversations frequently leads to unnecessary stress and legal complications for surviving family members. To help address this need in the community, Build East Baton Rouge is partnering with Southeast Louisiana Legal Services to host a free estate planning clinic.
The event takes place on Saturday, August 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Helix Aviation Academy on Airpark Boulevard. Attorneys will provide pro bono assistance to residents looking to draft wills and learn more about protecting their assets.
Professional guidance is often expensive, with private legal fees frequently reaching thousands of dollars. By removing this cost barrier, the clinic intends to allow families to secure their generational wealth and ensure their wishes are honored.
Registration is required for those interested in attending as space is limited. Interested participants can find more information or sign up through the Build EBR website or the provided digital registration form.
