North Tulsa workshop helps residents build stronger financial futures

North Tulsa residents are gaining direct access to financial tools through a new workshop series. Northside Neighbors launched these free sessions to provide the specific information residents requested for their personal and community growth.

Tuesday’s workshop addressed credit education. Wealth manager Christopher Elmore provided insights on understanding, protecting, and improving credit scores. These sessions give neighbors practical steps to apply in their own lives regardless of their current financial standing.

Reggie Ivey, Executive Director of Northside Neighbors, stated that the organization aims to bring essential resources to the Hawthorne and Walt Whitman areas. By hosting bimonthly events, the group provides a platform for education that supports families and local development.

Beyond credit, the initiative focuses on broader economic goals for the community. The leadership team intends to attract more local businesses and mixed-income housing to the region. The next event is scheduled for September and will cover assets.
