Raymond James continues its aggressive recruitment pace. The firm just added The Carlson Group, a Pennsylvania-based team managing $1.1 billion in client assets. This transition marks the second billion-dollar-plus team to join the firm’s employee advisor channel in only two weeks.
The Carlson Group moves to Raymond James from Baird. The team includes advisors Kurt Carlson, Kenneth Breaden, Cassidy Carlson, and Brian Koble, along with client service associates Teresa Davis and Jacquelin Croissant. Kurt Carlson noted that the team chose to move based on the firm's specific commitment to client success and its investment in technology.
This addition follows the recent arrival of the Capital Reserve Group, which brought $5.4 billion in assets from Comerica. Raymond James CEO Paul Shoukry indicates the firm is currently on track for a record-breaking year in recruiting efforts. During the second quarter of 2026 alone, the company brought in advisors with nearly $23 billion in client assets across its various channels.
Industry movement remains consistent as firms compete to capture veteran talent. For advisors like those at The Carlson Group, the choice of a new platform often hinges on the ability to support long-term growth and handle the changing technological needs of the wealth management sector. As Raymond James expands its footprint, these high-value team additions reflect a broader trend of advisor migration toward platforms that emphasize stability and infrastructure.
