Rusty Burton earns fourth straight Forbes Best-in-State recognition
Rusty Burton of Edward Jones has earned a spot on the 2026 Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list. This marks the fourth consecutive year he has achieved this recognition.
The annual ranking from Forbes and SHOOK Research evaluates financial advisors through a set of qualitative and quantitative criteria. The selection process considers factors such as total assets under management, industry experience, and client retention records. Analysts also conduct direct interviews with the nominees to verify their practices and compliance history.
Burton manages financial portfolios and emphasizes a hands-on approach to client service. He stated that his primary goal is to act as a reliable resource for individuals who are navigating complex financial decisions. The recognition does not reflect investment performance or direct client feedback.
Edward Jones currently serves more than 9 million clients across North America and manages approximately $2.4 trillion in assets. The firm maintains over 20,000 advisors and recently received a top ranking in the 2026 J.D. Power U.S. Investor Satisfaction Study.
The Forbes rankings are published each year during the first quarter. Data used for the 2026 selections comes from June 2025. While Burton and his firm paid a fee for the right to use the branding of the recognition, the selection itself is based on the methodology established by SHOOK Research.
