Wealth Enhancement is expanding its national footprint with the acquisition of Cloud Investments, a registered investment advisor based in Huntsville, Alabama. This deal brings approximately $462 million in client assets into the firm, pushing Wealth Enhancement’s total assets under management to roughly $158.9 billion. This marks the firm's first physical presence in Alabama.

Founded in 2006 by Don Cloud, the Alabama firm operates three offices across Huntsville, Florence, and Gadsden. The team consists of five advisors and six support professionals who serve a client base largely composed of business owners and professionals in the defense and aerospace industries. This specific demographic has fueled wealth growth in the Huntsville metropolitan area, making it a strategic target for national aggregators.

Jeff Dekko, CEO of Wealth Enhancement, stated that the alignment of client-first values between the two firms drove the decision. The deal allows Cloud Investments to maintain its local focus while gaining access to the national scale and financial planning capabilities of the larger organization. Don Cloud confirmed that the firm will continue to prioritize its established guiding principles of strategy, ethics, and performance as it integrates into the larger platform.

This acquisition arrives amid broader industry speculation regarding Wealth Enhancement’s own ownership status, as reports indicate significant interest from private equity firms. The move fits a wider trend where national wealth management platforms seek to enter high-growth regions that were previously underserved by major firms. While the specific terms of the transaction remain confidential, the partnership highlights the ongoing consolidation within the independent advisory space.
