A massive herd of 100 life-size elephant sculptures has arrived at the Commonwealth Avenue Mall in Boston. This public art display officially opens to the public on Saturday, transforming a mile of city space into an exhibit inspired by the landscapes of southern India.
The project is known as The Great Elephant Migration. These sculptures are not just for show. Each piece is handcrafted by Indigenous artisans from the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve in India.
