Long-Delayed Guggenheim Abu Dhabi to Open in December

The Guggenheim Abu Dhabi will officially open its doors to the public in December 2026. Located in the Saadiyat Cultural District, this project represents a long-term collaboration between the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi. The structure, designed by architect Frank Gehry, sits on the waterfront of Saadiyat Island. Construction of the museum has spanned several years, delayed by shifting priorities and logistical challenges common to large-scale cultural infrastructure.
