Louisville Visual Art is opening registration for its long-standing Children’s Fine Art Classes on August 3. Since 1925, this program has provided intensive visual art instruction for motivated and talented students across Louisville and Southern Indiana.
The 10-week program features small group instruction led by professional artists and art teachers. Students participate in a curriculum that includes painting, drawing, mixed media, and studies in aesthetics and art history. All participants have the opportunity to see their final work displayed in professional exhibitions at the end of the year.
The program is tuition-free to ensure that financial status is not a barrier for young artists. Because the curriculum is intensive, candidates must be at least 9 years old and receive a recommendation from a teacher, principal, or community leader to enroll.
Interested families or educators should reach out to LVA Education Director Annette Cable at [email protected] or call 502-584-8166 for more information on the recommendation process.
