The Tennessee Wildlife Federation is now accepting submissions for its 12th annual Wildlife and Nature Photo Contest. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to submit their work highlighting the natural beauty of the Volunteer State. Categories include wildlife, landscapes, and images of people enjoying the outdoors. The submission period runs until August 31, 2026.
Contestants may submit up to three photos with a $10 donation or enter an unlimited number for a $25 donation. Those who choose the $25 contribution receive a 2027 Tennessee Wildlife Federation calendar as a thank-you. All funds raised through the entry process go directly to supporting the organization's conservation work across Tennessee's wild spaces and waterways.
A panel of judges will review all entries to select images for the upcoming year's calendar and feature them on the organization's digital platforms. These media channels currently reach hundreds of thousands of outdoor enthusiasts. Additionally, the public will have the opportunity to vote for a People's Choice winner starting September 8, 2026.
Last year the federation received more than 1,600 submissions from 134 photographers representing eight states. Winning entries showcased various outdoor scenes, ranging from mountain views and water reflections to wildlife encounters. The contest is sponsored by Bass Pro Shops locations within Tennessee.
