Ben Jones, best known for his role as the mechanic Cooter Davenport on The Dukes of Hazzard, has died at age 84. Jones suffered a heart attack at his home in Washington, Virginia, while preparing to watch the Atlanta Braves.
Before finding his way into the hearts of television audiences in the late 1970s and 1980s, Jones built a career in acting and stage productions.
