Gracie Abrams visited The Tonight Show to debut her song Minibar live. The performance featured a red stage backdrop and showcased the artist during her promotional run for her newly released album titled Daughter From Hell. This record marks her latest collaboration with producer Aaron Dessner, who worked on her previous two albums as well.
During her conversation with Jimmy Fallon, Abrams explained that the new music serves as a personal reflection on her past. She described the title track as an apology to her mother for her behavior as a child. Abrams noted that the friction between a defiant child and a parent is a common experience and she views this project as a formal thank you to her family.
Beyond the studio work, Abrams discussed her recent touring experiences. She shared a specific anecdote about performing at Glastonbury where she spotted Paul McCartney in the wings. She also confirmed plans for her upcoming headlining tour which begins in Denver, Colorado on December 2. The artist expressed her readiness to return to the road for the remainder of the year.
