King Diamond Part Ways with Andy LaRocque, Welcome Former Ozzy Osbourne Guitarist Gus G

King Diamond has officially parted ways with longtime guitarist Andy LaRoque. This change arrives after LaRoque served as a constant member of the band since its inception in 1985. Over his four-decade tenure, LaRoque performed on 12 studio albums and played a central role in the group’s sound.

Taking over the guitar position is Gus G, known for his work with Firewind and his time as the guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne from 2009 to 2017. King Diamond confirmed the transition and stated that Gus G will handle both writing and performance duties for the band on a permanent basis.

The band is currently moving forward with plans for a new trilogy of concept albums. King Diamond expressed his excitement about the partnership and noted that the band is already at work on fresh material. He assured fans that Gus G will continue with his other projects alongside his new responsibilities.

Despite the significant lineup change, the band issued a statement expressing gratitude for LaRoque’s contributions.
