Slipknot has officially confirmed that Sid Wilson is no longer a member of the group. The band released a brief statement on their website announcing that they will no longer be associated with the long-time DJ and keyboardist. This confirmation follows reports that circulated in late July regarding his departure.
Wilson joined the band in 1998, just one year before they released their self-titled debut album. As one of the original nine members, his exit marks another change for the metal ensemble. The band stated they wish him the best in his future endeavors.
This departure is the latest in a series of shifts for the lineup. The group previously saw the exits of Craig Jones in 2023 and Chris Fehn in 2019. The band has also faced significant loss, including the deaths of drummer Joey Jordison in 2021 and bassist Paul Gray in 2010. The official announcement serves as the final word on the current status of the lineup.
