CBS Fall 2026 Premiere Dates: 'NCIS: New York' & 'Cupertino' Debuts, 'Marshals' Return & More
CBS has unveiled its premiere schedule for the 2026-2027 television season. The network intends to begin its rollout in late September, starting with the return of Survivor on September 23, followed by The Amazing Race on September 30. The primary broadcast week for new and returning dramas begins on October 4.
Fans of the NCIS franchise can expect a major night on October 6. This Tuesday lineup features the series premiere of NCIS: New York, which includes LL Cool J reprising his role as Sam Hanna alongside Scott Caan. This new addition occupies a prime spot between the season premiere of the flagship NCIS series and the third season of the prequel, NCIS: Origins. Michael Weatherly will join the cast for an extended arc throughout the season, while Mark Harmon continues his involvement in the prequel series.
The October 4 premiere block includes the return of Marshals and Tracker. The following day, viewers will see FBI and CIA moving to new timeslots, joined by the second season of Harlan Coben’s Final Twist. Thursday night schedules introduce the new drama Cupertino alongside returning favorites like Elsbeth. Friday nights will maintain a focus on procedural dramas with the return of shows such as Sheriff Country, Fire Country, and Boston Blue.
While several series are slated for the fall, some programs are held for midseason. Ghosts is moving to a midseason slot, though the network has scheduled two special two-episode holiday events for the show on October 29 and December 10. Other titles held back for later in the season include Einstein, the return of Matlock, and NCIS: Sydney. Additionally, CBS confirmed it is in development on a detective drama titled Flint starring Matt LeBlanc for the 2027-2028 cycle.
