Star-studded Apple TV show ending after 5 seasons

Apple has confirmed that The Morning Show will conclude with its fifth season. The popular comedy-drama, which debuted in 2019, will air its final episodes in 2027. This decision marks the end of a series that has defined much of the platform’s original scripted programming output.

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon lead the cast as co-anchors navigating the high-stakes environment of a morning news program. Both actresses serve as executive producers and have expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to tell stories regarding the role of the press and the function of the newsroom. They noted that the final season is being crafted with specific intent to provide a meaningful conclusion for the characters.

Zack Van Amburg, Apple’s head of Worldwide Video, stated that the company remains grateful to the writers, cast, and crew for their contributions. The series has received industry recognition, winning four Emmy awards during its run, including two for actor Billy Crudup. While production on the final season is underway, Apple has not yet set a precise release date for the 2027 premiere. Viewers can currently access the first four seasons on the streaming service.
