Peacock has officially set a premiere date for the new comedy series Dig. The show is scheduled to arrive on the platform on November 23. This production marks a reunion between Amy Poehler and Michael Schur, who previously worked together on the hit series Parks and Recreation.

The plot follows a team of archaeologists and college students working at a dig site in Greece. During their summer excavation, they uncover a rare artifact that triggers an international conspiracy. The show consists of ten episodes.

Amy Poehler stars as Elise, while Hugh Laurie plays Neville, a British professor committed to the traditions of archaeology. The cast also includes Geraldine Viswanathan, Antonia Thomas, and Fina Strazza. The series is based on the book Excavations by Kate Myers.

Production involves several major entities including Universal Television. J.J. Philbin, known for her work on Only Murders in the Building, serves as a writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner. Additional executive producers include Michael Schur, Amy Poehler, and Morgan Sackett.
