Blackfoot wellness studio now offering aerial yoga
One Beat Wellness Studio in Blackfoot is expanding its class lineup to include aerial yoga. The studio recently installed hammock-like apparatuses that allow participants to stretch and move while suspended in the air. Owner Keshia Polatis reports that the classes are aimed at people of all experience levels and focus on movement that feels playful rather than like a traditional gym workout.
Since Polatis launched the sessions over a month ago, around 100 people have participated. The instructor notes that participants often report high levels of satisfaction after finishing a session. The addition of aerial yoga fits into the studio's broader mission to provide a space where local residents can stay consistent with their physical activity through group classes and shared support.
One Beat Wellness Studio started three years ago when a group of women recognized a gap in the local area for a dedicated health and social space. Beyond aerial yoga, the facility hosts various programs including weight training, cardio, Zumba, barre, and pilates. The owners emphasize that the location serves as a community hub for support across different stages and ages.
Instructors like Leslie Simmons point out that the goal is to provide a space for physical, mental, and spiritual health. The studio also provides children with programs focused on mindfulness and meditation. Members often stay after their sessions to socialize on the premises or outside the front entrance on West Bridge Street.
Those interested in trying the new classes can visit the studio at 30 West Bridge Street in Blackfoot. Information regarding the current schedule and other wellness events is available on their business website.
