Additionally, the FDA included several captured or captive wildlife species in this measure, specifically mentioning American bison, bighorn sheep, Sonoran pronghorn, and various cervids like deer and elk.
CLiK Extra operates as an insect growth regulator. Rather than killing existing larvae, it disrupts the life cycle of the parasite, preventing it from damaging host tissue. The product is intended for application on or around wounds that appear naturally or result from routine procedures like castration, ear tagging, tail docking, dehorning, or shearing.
Officials stress that this product is not a cure for animals that are already infested. If an infestation is present, owners should consult a veterinarian for alternative treatment protocols. The authorization remains in effect until the Department of Health and Human Services terminates the underlying declaration.
