A pharmacist from Pittsfield now faces federal charges after officials accused him of stealing prescription medication. Joshua Bradley, 30, stands accused of taking Adderall and its generic form, dextroamphetamine-amphetamine, from a pharmacy located in Barnstable County.

According to the Department of Justice, the incidents occurred on five separate occasions between August and November 2024. Prosecutors claim Bradley diverted the medication for his own personal use instead of dispensing it to customers. The investigation involved cooperation from the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department alongside several local police agencies.

The charges include five counts of acquiring a controlled substance by fraud, deception, and subterfuge. Adderall is categorized by the Food and Drug Administration as a Schedule II controlled substance due to its high potential for abuse and dependency.

If convicted, Bradley faces a potential maximum prison sentence of four years. He is scheduled to appear in federal District Court in Boston on September 9 to face these allegations.
