NAMI Greater Toledo is launching a new initiative focused on the intersection of faith and mental health. The program, titled Pathways to Hope: Where Faith and Mental Health Unite, invites community members to engage with faith leaders and advocates to discuss paths toward resilience and support. This effort seeks to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues while creating safe spaces for open conversation.

The initiative begins on August 21 with a virtual session covering national presentations and local suicide prevention resources. On August 22, the event moves to the Sofia Quintero Art and Cultural Center for workshops and breakout sessions. Additional support groups and community meetings are scheduled throughout September and early October, culminating in a Family Day event at the East Toledo Family Center.

Organizers state that all events are free and open to individuals regardless of their personal faith background. Those interested in attending can register at events.nami.org/pathways26 to secure their spots. The local program receives support from the MultiFaith Council of Northwest Ohio as part of a broader national effort to connect spiritual communities with mental health services.
