Nex-Tech recently observed Mental Health Awareness Month by providing staff with access to specialized resources and wellness programming. The company continues to maintain its Employee Assistance Program which provides confidential counseling along with financial and legal guidance. These tools are designed to assist employees with stress management and maintaining work-life balance.

The internal Care Committee led various initiatives throughout the month. This included a wellness workshop focused on guided meditation and journaling techniques. A certified yoga instructor from the company led the session to help staff manage stress during the workday. The committee also distributed information to help employees identify signs of burnout and provided access to educational videos from mental health professionals.

Financial support was another key component of the initiative. Employees raised 1,365 dollars during the month. Nex-Tech matched this amount, bringing the total donation to 2,730 dollars. Staff members selected the charities to receive these funds through a voting process.

The final donation went to Camber Children’s Mental Health Services and the Norton branch of the High Plains Mental Health Center. Courtney Kelly from Camber Children’s Mental Health noted that the funds help ensure children have access to necessary care in a safe environment. Craig Poe of High Plains Mental Health Center stated that the contribution assists the organization in expanding its footprint in Norton County, which will increase the availability of behavioral healthcare services across Northwest Kansas.

Jimmy Todd, the CEO of Nex-Tech, credited the Care Committee and the staff for the success of the program. He noted that the initiative highlights the commitment of the team to both their internal work culture and the broader community. The company maintains that supporting mental health remains a priority for its ongoing operations.
