Blackmores Targets Thai Market with Fizzers

Blackmores has introduced its "Fizzers" vitamin line in Thailand, marking the brand’s first major launch of fizzy granule supplements in the country. The rollout event, held under the banner "INTO THE FIZZERS WORLD: More Fizz…More Health," showcased a product line designed to offer consumers a sugar-free alternative to traditional pill-based vitamins. These granules dissolve rapidly in water or can be consumed directly, providing a portable option for users who want to incorporate multiple health supports into their daily habits without the inconvenience of swallowing multiple capsules.

Mrs. Priti Halai, the country manager for Blackmores Thailand, explained that the new format came directly from consumer feedback. Many users found the daily routine of managing multiple pill bottles cumbersome, especially when trying to address various health needs simultaneously. By moving toward a dissolvable granule, Blackmores aims to simplify the experience for its younger, health-focused demographic. Thailand serves as a key region for this global product strategy, as it currently represents the largest market for Blackmores in both Southeast Asia and South Korea.

Market Position and Growth Strategy

Despite shifts in local purchasing power, Blackmores reports that its vitamin segment remains resilient. Mrs. Priti emphasized that price is secondary to brand trust and perceived product quality for Thai consumers. Currently, the company holds a 24% share of Thailand’s 1.2 billion baht vitamin and dietary supplement market. With the market expected to grow by 7.8% this year as more people prioritize preventive healthcare, competition from new entrants has increased. In response, Blackmores is leaning heavily into product innovation to maintain its market lead.

Following a strong performance in the first half of 2026, where revenues increased by 16.8% compared to the previous year, the company is targeting an 18.6% growth rate for the full year. This expansion is supported by aggressive marketing efforts that use influencers to reach target audiences effectively. Blackmores currently manages over 50 SKUs in the country, with immune-support products and fish oil accounting for half of their total sales. The introduction of Fizzers is expected to further diversify this portfolio and cater to more specific lifestyle requirements.

The New Product Range and Quality Standards

The initial launch features three distinct formulas designed for specific health goals. Immu Plus, featuring an orange flavor, combines vitamin D3, vitamin C, and zinc for immune support. The Nicotinamide Plus formula provides nicotinamide along with zinc and vitamin C in a mixed berry flavor to assist with skin health. The third option, Performance Plus, offers 225mg of magnesium in a strawberry and apple flavor for those focused on muscle health and daily recovery. These choices highlight a move toward more targeted wellness solutions rather than one-size-fits-all supplements.

Blackmores operates on a philosophy established by its founder, Maurice Blackmore, in 1932: that nature is the primary answer to health. As a global organization, it continues to base new product development on scientific research. The company maintains that all raw materials are sourced from high-quality suppliers, with products subject to rigorous testing and strict quality controls. By adhering to international production standards under Australian oversight, the company aims to ensure the safety and traceability of its items as it continues to expand its footprint in the regional market.
