The Nevada County Fair is back and the Nevada County Jewish Community Center is returning to Treat Street with its signature Corner Deli booth. From August 12 to 16, visitors can grab classic deli favorites including kosher hot dogs, toasted Reuben sandwiches, and bagels.
Because there is no permanent Jewish deli in the county, this pop-up stall serves as a rare local destination for traditional deli fare. Volunteers staff the booth to prepare hot pastrami and other staples for fair-goers. Beyond the food, the booth serves as a primary fundraiser for the organization, with all proceeds directed toward ongoing community programming.
The organization has maintained a local presence since 1978 and remains active throughout the year. Following the fair, the center will host an annual Welcome-Back Shabbat and community dinner on August 21 to bring new and returning families together for food and conversation.
