Leonardo DiCaprio and Jeff Bezos are teaming up to tackle species extinction. Their organizations, Re:wild and the Bezos Earth Fund, have launched the Phoenix Species Project. This initiative commits 200 million dollars toward the recovery of 100 critically endangered species across 30 countries.
The project focuses on species at the highest risk, including the golden-crowned sifaka in Madagascar and the pink land iguana found in the Galápagos Islands.
