Jackie, often viewed on the Friends of Big Bear Valley live nest camera with her partner Shadow, is being treated for anemia and kidney inflammation. She previously received a life-saving blood transfusion from Spirit, a resident eagle at the CALM Zoo in Bakersfield. Wildlife officials state that lab work remains pending and they will provide updates as they review the diagnostic findings.
