Players will start from both the first and tenth holes in groups of three. Gates are set to open to the public at 9:30 a.m. while hospitality services for food and beverages will begin at 11:00 a.m. Barring the need for a playoff, the tournament is expected to conclude around 5:45 p.m. Sunday. This shift comes as 73 golfers remain in the field for this penultimate event of the regular season.
This year's event has featured a renovated North Course at Detroit Golf Club. The $16.1 million project changed the layout to a par-70 and added fescue, ditches, and bunker modifications. Despite these efforts to increase the difficulty, three players have tied the course record of 61 during the first three days of competition. Peter Malnati, Cameron Young, and Rasmus Højgaard have all posted these scores during the week, showing the high level of play despite the course modifications.
