Source: Orioles sign righty Kyle Bradish to $90M extension

The Baltimore Orioles have locked in right-handed pitcher Kyle Bradish with a five-year contract extension. This deal is valued at $90 million and keeps the starter in Baltimore through the 2031 season.

The agreement covers the final two years of his arbitration eligibility and adds three years of free agency. The 29-year-old right-hander has posted a 3.61 ERA across 19 starts this season. This performance marks his return to the rotation following Tommy John surgery in 2024.

Bradish originally joined the organization in 2019 following a trade with the Los Angeles Angels. He quickly established himself in the rotation and finished fourth in American League Cy Young voting during the 2023 season. His career ERA stands at 3.50 over five seasons in the major leagues.

Orioles owner David Rubenstein noted the importance of retaining players of this caliber for the long-term goals of the franchise. General manager Mike Elias and the baseball operations team led the negotiations for the team. Bradish will continue to serve as a key piece of the starting staff as the Orioles move toward the second half of the season.
