The Cavaliers currently sit approximately $25.3 million below the first tax apron and are wary of exceeding the second apron for the 2026/27 season. While the team could offer a salary of $6.1 million through the taxpayer mid-level exception, Kuminga is seeking an annual deal in the range of $20-23 million.
