Testing conducted at the hospital revealed that Duguay suffers from severe dehydration and has struggled to maintain nutrition. Doctors also identified internal bleeding, ulcers, and varices as the cancer has progressed to his liver.

Thomas noted that while her father is facing significant health hurdles, he remains in good spirits. Duguay, who has been in a relationship with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin since 2022, is under medical supervision while he recovers from the fall and continues his cancer treatment.
