Christos Tzolis signs for Arsenal
Arsenal has officially completed the signing of forward Christos Tzolis. The 24-year-old joins the club on a long-term contract following his successful tenure at Club Brugge.
Tzolis brings significant experience from his time in the Belgian Pro League. During his two seasons with the club, he recorded impressive statistics and was named the league's player of the season on two separate occasions. His contributions were vital to his former team winning the Belgian Cup in 2025 and the league title in the 2025/26 campaign. Throughout his 108 appearances for the Belgian side, he netted 43 goals and provided 45 assists.
His career path includes notable periods at PAOK Thessaloniki, where he debuted in 2020 and helped secure the Greek Cup. He also spent time in the Premier League with Norwich City and gained experience through loan spells at FC Twente and Fortuna Dusseldorf. On the international stage, Tzolis has earned 34 caps for the Greece senior national team.
Sporting Director Andrea Berta confirmed that the club sought a versatile attacker who functions effectively on the left wing and across the front line. Berta highlighted the player’s technical ability, dual-footed finishing, and his capacity to perform in high-pressure situations. The arrival of Tzolis is intended to raise the technical standard of the squad immediately.
Tzolis will wear the number 17 shirt for the upcoming season. He has started training with his new teammates at the Sobha Realty Training Centre to prepare for the new campaign. The transfer process is now subject to the final completion of standard regulatory requirements.
