Crysencio Summerville: Al Hilal reach agreement with West Ham to sign Netherlands international

West Ham United has reached a formal agreement with Al Hilal for the transfer of Crysencio Summerville. The deal is worth a total package of £60 million, split between a £55 million guaranteed fee and £5 million in performance-based bonuses.

Interest in the Netherlands international was significant during the transfer window. Roma previously submitted a proposal worth £39 million, but West Ham rejected that offer earlier this week. The Saudi Pro League club moved quickly to secure the player with a bid nearly double the value of Roma's approach.

Summerville leaves West Ham after scoring eight goals in 56 appearances. This transaction represents one of the largest sales in the club's history, trailing only the moves of Declan Rice and Mateus Fernandes. West Ham will have generated more than £150 million from player sales this summer once the move becomes official.

Manchester United monitored the winger earlier in the transfer window but did not move beyond preliminary talks. Al Hilal now adds the 24-year-old to their ranks after his performance for the Netherlands during the 2026 World Cup, where he scored two goals and contributed two assists.
