The WTA Tour arrives in Toronto for the National Bank Open presented by Rogers. This event marks the start of the summer hard-court swing, featuring a stacked field of the world's top talent. Play begins on August 2 and continues through the finals on August 13.

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and No. 2 Elena Rybakina headline the entry list, marking their return to competition following the conclusion of Wimbledon. They are joined by other top-10 players including Coco Gauff, Iga Swiatek, and Mirra Andreeva. Past tournament winners such as Jessica Pegula, Elina Svitolina, and Bianca Andreescu are also scheduled to compete for the title.

The singles field consists of 96 players with the top 32 seeds receiving byes into the second round. The tournament operates on an alternating schedule between Toronto and Montreal, bringing the action back to Ontario for the first time in two years. Defending champion Victoria Mboko will miss the event due to an injury.

Total prize money for the tournament sits at over 7.4 million dollars. Singles champions earn 1,000 ranking points and 1,085,220 dollars. Doubles champions receive 1,000 points and 379,080 dollars. The draw ceremony for the singles competition takes place on July 31 at 12 p.m. local time.
