Cynthia Cooper and Teresa Weatherspoon Select Rosters for 2026 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game
The 2026 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game is set for July 25 at the United Center in Chicago. WNBA legends Cynthia Cooper and Teresa Weatherspoon served as general managers to draft the rosters for this special event. The draft process ignored standard conference affiliations to create two competitive lineups for the milestone 30th season celebration.
Team Coop enters the game with Paige Bueckers as the top fan vote-getter, while Team Spoon features Caitlin Clark. Cooper and Weatherspoon selected their rosters through a televised event that highlighted the depth of the current league. Becky Hammon and Cheryl Reeve will lead the coaching staffs for the respective squads based on their performance records as of July 10.
Beyond the competitive aspect of the game, the WNBA is introducing a charitable prize pool totaling $100,000 for this year. The winning team earns $70,000 for their partner charity, while the runner-up secures $30,000 for theirs. Team Coop plays for Angels Athletics, and Team Spoon supports Girls in the Game, both of which operate in Chicago to expand sports opportunities for young women.
Fans can catch the action on ABC starting at 8:30 p.m. ET. This event serves as the main feature of a three-day schedule that includes the Kia WNBA Shooting Stars and State Farm WNBA 3-Point Contest at Wintrust Arena. The league continues its 30th-anniversary recognition by bringing these activities to Chicago for the weekend.
