Ballhalla is booming, and so are Valkyries ticket prices

The Golden State Valkyries are coming off a high after their successful inaugural season, but loyal fans are currently facing a reality check regarding the cost of attendance. As the team gears up for a potential playoff run, season ticket holders received renewal notices for the 2027 season that show significant price increases across various sections of the arena.

While the team adjusted per-game prices by roughly 10 percent, the total cost for many fans has climbed by about 25 percent. This increase stems from the league expanding its schedule to 50 games, which adds three additional home games per team. Fans in the lower bowl are seeing prices move from $95 to $105 per game, while upper-deck tickets also saw adjustments. When compared to the inaugural 2025 season, some ticket holders are looking at total cost increases between 25 and 35 percent over three years.

This shift occurs as the franchise experiences historic demand. The Valkyries remain the only WNBA team to consistently sell out an NBA-sized arena, with 12,000 season tickets sold and a waiting list in place. The organization recently achieved a $1 billion valuation, making them one of the most valuable teams in the league. On the court, the team currently holds second place in the standings with a 19-8 record.

Fans also received invoices for potential playoff games, which feature prices higher than the 2027 regular season rates. A lower-bowl seat could cost $115 for the first round, $185 for the semifinals, and $325 for the Finals. Despite these jumps, the team notes that these prices remain lower than those of the Golden State Warriors, who share the same arena. Whether this pricing strategy impacts long-term fan loyalty remains an open question as the league continues its rapid expansion.
