The start of a new college semester brings fresh coursework and new academic goals. To support students during this time, Google is providing one year of its premium AI plans at no cost for eligible college students globally. This initiative aims to assist with organization, research, and deep learning throughout the school year.
For students in the United States, the offer includes Google AI Pro. This subscription provides four times higher usage limits, access to Gemini in applications like Gmail and Google Docs, five terabytes of storage, and additional perks. Students based outside of the United States can access Google AI Plus, which includes double usage limits and 400 gigabytes of storage. A discounted bundle that pairs these AI plans with YouTube Premium is also available.
Beyond these subscription offers, the Gemini app now includes a dedicated student hub. This space serves as a central location for study tools, allowing users to build study notebooks, generate flashcards, and complete practice quizzes. The platform allows students to upload lecture materials so the system can generate a structured learning path with a progress dashboard. Integration with Google Calendar helps students track assignment due dates and exam schedules.
Interactive features are also part of this update. Gemini can generate 3D simulations and tables to explain complex subjects visually, such as biological structures or physical phenomena. Additionally, the integration of Deep Research into Gemini Live allows students to perform complex, multi-step research tasks while working hands-free. The system processes these requests in the background and notifies the user once the report is finished.
These tools are currently available for all Gemini app users. Students interested in these resources can visit the official Gemini student page to verify eligibility and claim their access.
