x.ai has introduced Grok Bot, a new class of AI teammates designed to execute end-to-end work across your existing software stack. Unlike traditional agents that require complex prompt engineering or workflow configurations, these bots operate within their own dedicated cloud computing environments. This allows them to navigate websites, email inboxes, and internal tools to complete tasks without stalling when a user steps away.

The system functions as a delegated workforce. You can message a bot via desktop or iOS to assign specific jobs, such as processing invoices, drafting sales follow-ups, or reproducing software bugs. Once assigned, the bot manages the task independently and only requests human intervention for final approval or judgment calls. Because the bots maintain their own sessions, they function across platforms that lack formal APIs, mirroring how a human colleague would interact with an interface.

Collaboration among multiple bots is a core component of this release. Users can deploy a chief of staff bot to oversee specialized agents handling functions like recruiting, expense management, or operations. These agents share context across threads and can message each other to align on projects, which reduces the need for manual oversight. If projects overlap, the bots coordinate independently to ensure consistency.

Learning takes place through observation. When you perform a task, the bot can watch your process, store the routine, and adopt your preferences for future execution. Grok Bot is now available in beta for specific subscription tiers, including SuperGrok Heavy and Cursor Ultra users on desktop and iOS. Enterprise access is currently managed via a waitlist.
