Mayo Clinic is currently deploying new artificial intelligence tools to address one of the most common hurdles in internal medicine: the overwhelming volume of patient records. Staff skepticism is addressed by making the adoption of these tools optional, allowing clinicians to determine which systems add actual value to their daily workflows.

Looking ahead, the focus remains on long-term clinical utility rather than immediate industry hype. The goal is not to replace staff but to reduce the burden of documentation.
