French quantum computing developer Pasqal completed its merger with Bleichroeder Acquisition Corp. II on August 28, 2026. Unlike competing superconducting systems that often require extreme subcooling to function, Pasqal’s hardware operates at room temperature. Co-founder Professor Alain Aspect earned a Nobel Prize in 2022 for his work on entangled photons, which provides the underlying scientific basis for the company’s approach to computing.
Public market interest in the quantum sector has grown significantly throughout 2026. Pasqal is the fourth quantum firm to debut via a SPAC merger this year.
