Israeli startup Qedma joins forces with Quantinuum to tackle one of quantum computing's biggest obstacles
Israeli software startup Qedma has officially integrated its error mitigation technology with the hardware systems developed by Quantinuum. This collaboration marks a shift in how the industry handles the physical limitations of current-generation quantum machines.
Quantum computing is often restricted by noise and errors that impact the reliability of calculations. Qedma designed its software to identify and correct these hardware issues, allowing for more precise results. By applying this software to existing quantum platforms, researchers can now execute more complex algorithms than they could previously.
As part of this partnership, Qedma participated in the Quantinuum Startup Partner Program to bridge the gap between experimental research and practical application. This integration is designed to help users perform heavy workloads in sectors like finance and materials science before the arrival of full fault-tolerant machines.
Early tests on Quantinuum hardware showed that the QESEM software maintains stability even during demanding simulations. This milestone allows firms to push the boundaries of classical computational limits today rather than waiting for future hardware upgrades. Qedma remains hardware-agnostic, meaning it intends to provide similar reliability improvements across different platforms within the quantum ecosystem.
