Quantum Computing Inc. has initiated a strategic shift in its leadership to support the company move from research and development into widespread commercial deployment. The firm announced the appointment of Susan Hunt as Chief Revenue Officer. Hunt brings thirty years of experience in enterprise software and cloud computing to the role, having previously held senior positions at companies including Salesforce and Nuance Communications. In her new capacity, she will manage global sales, strategic partnerships, and business development efforts.

Simultaneously, the company created a new Chief Product Officer position, naming longtime executive Pouya Dianat to the role. Dianat, who formerly served as the Chief Revenue Officer, will now dedicate his focus entirely to product vision and strategy. This split separates the commercial execution from the product development side of the business, a move designed to better align the company’s quantum and photonics offerings with the specific demands of government and enterprise clients.

CEO Yuping Huang noted that these appointments reflect the company’s current phase of growth. By focusing on both product strategy and revenue generation independently, the company intends to increase the deployment of its room-temperature, low-power systems. These technologies find application in fields such as cybersecurity, high-performance computing, and aerospace.

This transition marks a larger trend within the quantum technology sector where firms are prioritizing executive talent that can bridge the gap between complex engineering and market-ready adoption. Quantum Computing Inc. aims to capitalize on this by leveraging Hunt’s history of scaling technology businesses alongside Dianat’s deep knowledge of their internal product portfolio. The company maintains its headquarters in Hoboken, New Jersey, where it continues to produce photonic chips and advanced packaging services to serve diverse industrial needs.
