Amazfit is updating its fitness watch lineup, bringing new capabilities to a wide range of devices. This software update targets improved tracking for pool swimming and indoor rowing, addressing previous gaps in the feature set of these wearables.

For swimmers, the update adds manual rest tracking, which separates activity and recovery data to provide a clearer view of session structure. Users can now analyze performance metrics based on specific swimming strokes.

Indoor rowers benefit from new connectivity options, as these devices now support FTMS-compatible machines such as the Concept2 RowErg. This allows for real-time viewing of workout metrics directly on the watch screen during training sessions.

Additional updates include a touchscreen lock to prevent accidental input during exercise and a new feature called Athlete Defaults. This setting automates specific configurations like Do Not Disturb and GPS precision when a workout begins. The update reaches many models, including the Balance and T-Rex series, positioning these watches as stronger competitors to established fitness tracking brands.
