Comcast recently expanded its high-speed internet network to reach more than 2,400 homes and businesses in Putnam County, Florida. This infrastructure deployment covers multiple communities including Bardin, Bostwick, Crescent City, Interlachen, Palatka, and Pomona Park.
The initiative grew from a public-private partnership between the company and state authorities. Construction remains active as the provider works to extend its fiber-powered network to an additional 3,500 locations, with a projected completion date set for the end of 2026.
Putnam County Commission Chairwoman Leota Wilkinson noted that this project addresses the need for reliable connectivity in rural regions. Improved broadband access is intended to support education, healthcare, and economic development throughout the local area.
Residents and business owners in the area can check service availability by entering their addresses on the provider website. The expansion brings the full suite of residential and business services to these communities, providing options for data, mobile, and security solutions.
This work is part of a larger investment strategy across Florida. Comcast continues to build out network capacity in several neighboring counties as part of its ongoing push to provide broadband access to more homes across the state.
