Expansion of Business Services at WOW!
WideOpenWest (WOW!) has rolled out a new service called Online Profile Sync for its business internet customers. The tool provides a centralized portal that allows businesses to manage their digital presence across more than 80 search engines, maps, and directory services. By entering information into this portal, companies can push updates to all connected platforms at once.
TransUnion’s Digital Business Profile platform provides the underlying technology for the product. Businesses can manage essential details like operating hours, contact information, social media links, and relevant keywords. The goal is to ensure consistency across search results, which is a growing concern as AI-driven search tools rely on multiple sources to provide information to users.
Value Proposition and Pricing Structure
Automating the synchronization of business data is marketed as a way for companies to save time and reduce costs associated with manual updates. Misty Jensen, vice president of business sales at WOW!, stated that accurate listings remain critical for businesses looking to attract prospective customers. The service aims to protect brand reputation by ensuring that digital directory information is correct regardless of where a customer searches.
WOW! has tiered the pricing for this service based on existing customer accounts. Business internet-only customers can access the Online Profile Sync tool for $10 per month. Meanwhile, those with existing WOW! Voice services can purchase an enhanced version of the directory listings for $5 per month. The company is positioning this as an optional add-on rather than a mandatory service for its business base.
Context Within the Broader Market
This launch marks one of the first major service rollouts since the company shifted its ownership structure. DigitalBridge Group and Crestview Partners closed a deal in August 2025 to take the company private in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $1.5 billion. Englewood, Colorado serves as the headquarters for the firm.
WOW! currently maintains operations across 20 distinct markets. The company provides services to nearly two million total consumers, including residential, wholesale, and business clients. While the company operates largely in the Midwest and Southeast, the push toward digital business tools suggests a strategy focused on increasing the average revenue per user within its existing footprint. The effectiveness of this tool in driving actual discoverability for local businesses remains to be seen as more providers adopt similar digital profile management solutions to remain competitive.
