Apple iOS 27 – List of Features and Upgrades iPhones Will Get
Apple is preparing for the release of iOS 27 this September. Recent public beta testing confirms several significant changes coming to the iPhone operating system, with a major focus on artificial intelligence integration across core applications.
One of the primary updates is the transformation of Siri. The assistant is moving beyond simple task automation. It will now handle complex requests within iMessage, such as summarizing conversations, drafting email responses, and managing calendar reminders. The Camera app is also gaining intelligence, allowing users to point their lenses at objects to receive identification and information without needing external search tools.
Performance optimization remains a priority in this cycle. Apple has updated the CPU scheduler to reduce latency for demanding tasks. Connectivity is also getting a practical fix, as the new software will automatically switch from Wi-Fi to cellular data when the wireless signal is weak. Previously, users had to trigger this switch manually.
Additional features include expanded control over AirPods directly through the Control Center, enabling users to toggle noise cancellation and transparency modes without navigating deep into system menus. As the public rollout nears, these updates aim to streamline device efficiency and broaden the capabilities of native software.
