Google Maps is a primary tool for navigation, but it hides a significant amount of data that can drain your phone storage. On devices with limited capacity, the app often consumes several gigabytes through cached map tiles, offline navigation data, and locally stored location history.
Offline maps remain the most frequent culprit for storage bloat. While downloading maps for travel is useful, users often forget to delete regions or cities after their trips conclude. Keeping these large files on your device for extended periods occupies unnecessary space.
