Rokid Glasses with display launches in Canada Sept. 1
Rokid is bringing its latest smart eyewear to the Canadian market starting September 1. The new lineup includes both standard smart glasses and an AI-focused model, providing users with a range of technical tools for daily interaction.
These devices feature an integrated 12MP high-definition camera designed for visual search and real-time translation capabilities. Users can access over 89 different languages, making the hardware useful for travel or communication. The glasses also pack built-in private directional speakers, which allow for turn-by-turn navigation without requiring users to check their phones.
A key feature of the hardware is the dual-eye monochrome display, which runs on a custom Micro-LED engine. Rokid allows owners to select their preferred AI assistant, with support for Google Gemini and OpenAI’s ChatGPT built directly into the software. This level of flexibility separates the device from other market alternatives currently available to consumers.
To manage distribution and support, the company is partnering with Markham-based Ming’s Optical to provide prescription lens options for Canadian buyers. Pricing for the model equipped with the display is set at C$999, while the version without the screen will retail for C$549.
Early adopters can take advantage of introductory pricing if they purchase before the September launch date. The company is offering the display model for C$899 and the AI-only version for C$499 during this window. Additionally, the first 200 customers will receive a Rokid Capsule battery pack as an incentive for their early purchase.
