The United Way of Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties is teaming up with Alfred State College to connect students with local volunteer and employment opportunities. The event takes place on September 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alfred State College Student Leadership Center.

Students will have the chance to meet directly with representatives from several nonprofit organizations. The goal is to provide a space where attendees can learn about local needs and find roles that match their current skills and availability.

Participating groups include the American Red Cross, the Alzheimer’s Association, and the Allegany County Historical Society, among others. Organizers emphasize that donating time benefits both the volunteer and the organization by creating new community connections.

This fair is part of a broader effort to strengthen community resources and support local nonprofits. Students interested in making an impact are encouraged to attend and explore the various ways to get involved off campus.
